Ever wondered how many or what sites are hosted on the same ip address that your site is hosted. Domainbyip makes it really easy to find these sites. If you know you ip address for your shared host enter it on DomainByIP and it will list all the sites that are hosted on the same IP. If you dont know your ip address, domain by ip has the answer for that too. DNS name look up will find the ip for your site. I think this tool might come in handy.
You might ask what this has to do with Search Engine Optimization. Even though search engines dont mind multiple sites hosted on the same IP address, your ranking might be affected if there is a spam site hosted on your shared IP.
To avoid this problem I recomend hosting your site on a dedicated virtual server wiht a dedicated ip, since they are very affordabe now.
Google’s SEO keyword tool provides an awesome way to optimize your articles and site for search engines. I think this is a must for everyone’s SEO Tool Kit.
When you write an article with search engine optimization in mind, it is always good to use synonyms of your keyword through out the article. Google’s keyword suggestion tool makes that a lot easier. This program provides you with two options either you could enter the url for the site and google will suggest keyword and phrases based on the sites content. The other option is to enter a keyword or a key phrase and google will analyze the phrase and provide you with relevant keyword and phrases. This tool also provides you with monthly and average search volume for each word.
In conclusion Google’s keyword suggestion tool is a must have for anyone who is interested in search engine optimization.
No one likes 404 links or page not found links. There is an easy way to convert them to good inbound links using Google Webmaster tools, which will result in a good user experience. If you haven’t already , sign up for Google Webmaster Tools. Then from the crawl error report for your site and identify the dead links. If there are any in-site 404 links fix them. For external page not found links try to contact the site webmaster to see if this can be resolved. Another option will be to set up 301 redirects for the external links that cannot be fixed.
